why do you imitate me
all that I am
is all you want to be
If I am not beautiful
I don’t understand the plan
spending hours on a bed
with radiation and a fan
If I am not beautiful
why do you want my lips
you have underwear that mimics
the natural curves of my hips
If I am not beautiful
please tell me why
my people are bleaching
using products containing lye
when my natural beauty
is what the whole world despise
the beauty of nature
is beheld in our eyes
