Karma its real and it will bite you in the butt. I was told once the formula for Karma was 6 months, that was 6 months after the date you done the wrongdoing, Lets say for example you stole something, 6 months from that date you would lose something to the equivalent (or more) yes I just added that bit.
Well I am not 100% sure on the equation but I know I don’t mess with Karma. I always do the right thing 99% of the time, after all I am only human. I allow people to go ahead of me at the supermarket, (Not all the time) coz that would just be crazy.
When someone does me wrong, as occasionally they still do, a few months or even years down the line, some ill fortune or mishap occurs to them. I am like ‘That’s Karma!’
I once worked in a place where for some reason I had obviously offended someone not sure who, not even sure when, but individuals took it upon themselves to act as agents for management. one by one they either lost their jobs or got fired. karma?
Delroy Washington posted on his fb wall, about how people who in the past had done him wrong had later encountered some ill fate. when I read his post on fb I was inspired to write my poem ‘I Will Turn a Blind Eye’
#32 I will Turn a Blind Eye
I try my best to live my life the best I can
No lying, No cheating or scamming
Whenever people come along to deceive
I just sit back, I observe what they are planning
I don’t counterattack
There is no need for me to strike back
Most people are so clever
Me I just play dumb
I am like do your worst
Let it come, let it come!
What you don’t realise
what you intend for me
“Is dat yuh a go get!”
When you are digging that hole
To bury me in
You best dig yours too
When will they learn
You have to reap before you can earn
You can try and defeat me with all your lies
I will stand firm with truth on my side
But what yuh nah no
"What is done in de dark nah must come to light!"
Whether you win this battle today
"Yuh know me must win de war!"
Many have come up against me
“Yuh nah see dem deh pun de floor?!”

How not to get on a Train
I Love this poem as it was the first time I whipped out my Chromebook and used it on the train, how pretentious am I !?
#11 A Statement
It wasn't an entrance more of a statement
Saying ‘I have arrived!’
As he lay sprawled out on the floor
He wasn't a regular commuter
He was more of an Action Man
Like a broken toy soldier waiting to be thrown out
We sat in silence not sure where to look
No first aid available, no doctor on call
Motionless and there in front of us all
We sat there all stuck to our seats
No idea what to do
We couldn’t pretend we hadn’t seen him
I imagined him still lying there
When I had to get off
How awkward, how inconvenient
What would I do?
I would step precariously around
Hoping not to step on this broken action toy
Then he smiled and moved
We all breathed a sigh of relief and said ‘Phew!’
Just like that it spread around
The carriage it was OK to laugh
The man in front of me put two thumbs up
He could n’t contain his laughter
The group of men in the corner with the ladder
Were Laughing and pointing
We all broke into smiles and laughter
Like we had been given permission to breathe
Now that's why they say no running onto trains
We have all thoroughly learnt that lesson today!
Why Lie?
I have a problem with lies, I have a bigger problem with people who find it necessary to lie. I am like, I am not that important what does it matter what I think? If I hear the truth is it going to be so shocking, that I will just cut you off and never speak to you again? I find once you start in a lie, you have to continue and it just gets out of hand.
I remember telling a lie once something trivial I was 16 it was to a boy I was seeing at the time, I just made up some silly lie about why I couldn’t come out that weekend rather then say My Mother who was normally so laid back had forbidden me from going out that weekend. Well I guess I was embarrassed and wanted to preserve my street cred, anyhow almost all night I lay awake tossing and turning. Thinking about how wicked I was and I will certainly be going to Hell. So the next day I called him and apologised, he had arranged to take someone else out. There that was my punishment, I reasoned. Look I just can’t abide liars and find much of the reasoning behind it pointless.
The detail, the false data you have to learn and rehearse why bother. The truth always comes out at some point then when the person realises you have lied to them they view you differently from then on. So was it worth it?

#39 Tell the truth
If it is a half truth it is a lie
A white lie is a lie
Don't repeat a lie
Don't breathe life into a lie
Don't conceive a lie
Don’t believe a lie
Don’t teach the young to lie
Tell them its wrong to lie
Then go ahead and say a lie
Makes you a lie
And whatever you teach them from then on
They will believe is a lie
Don’t try to lie
Don’t cry fake crocodile tears in your lie
Don’t tell spin doctor lies
Don’t try and convince me that your lie is not a lie
If it sounds like a lie it is a lie
A lie will consume your time
It will keep you awake both day and night
It’s easier to speak the truth
One lie leads to another lie
Before you know it your are swimming in a sea of lies
Don’t write a lie
That will leave a paper trace to your lie
Speak the truth and it shall set you free
Here is the truth
From now on make that the truth
For you and me
A lie will make you ill
Sometimes I have to wonder
If there is a lying pill
That makes some people
Lie lie lie at will
It eats you from within
Stop your lying
We know lying is a sin
Look at your contorted face
That's the signs that can be traced
You sit and you wait
For your lie to be revealed
One more day not being found out
Tell me how good you feel
Its easier to speak the truth
When you lie
You are saying
“I am so smart” which makes me the fool
I believe some people must have gone to lying school
Have passed with an honorary degree
As they have learnt to lie with ease
I always wonder why people lie
What they achieve from a lie
Trying to protect people from the painful truth
The sooner you speak the truth
It may hurt but you can move on
Stop the lying
When will they learn no one wants to listen
To their lying song
Simply stop the lying
You know lying is wrong

The Tree Assassin
#47The Tree Assassin
They looked to me for help
But my hands were tied
The trees bowed their heads
As they learnt they would die
The Tree Surgeon
Has been called in
To carry out this killing
I listen to the chain saws
The sound is Spine Tingling Chilling
Why? Oh why? Can’t we leave them alone?
They offer protection
They are where birds build their homes.
The Tree Surgeon
Is a skillful physician
He will take them down with ease
With his various ropes and harnesses
He will conquer these trees
He will climb to the top
He’s not a Lumberjack
He’s a skillful Assassin
He’ll even get the tree to assist in the attack
When there are no trees left
We won’t be able to breathe
Yet we cut, we fell
We take them to their knees
We enjoy how they look
We love their fruits
We also enjoy the breeze
Unfortunately the roots run deep
They pull out all the nutrients of the land
This we can’t concede
we are like scornful Lovers
We don’t forget
Sadly we have already
Been feeling the Sadistic Effects

Django Unchained Admirable Attempt

shameless Eye Candy!!
Django unchained
I have watched half of this movie, there are some scenes that are classic funny, then there are some harrowing scenes. It’s one of those movies you watch from you own perspective, everyone will no doubt have their own take on it. A few people have come out the move stunned into silence. I on the other hand with my opinionated self have watched half the movie (It is in the Quentin Tarantino style long) Hey what do you know something we have in common. No I don’t come with a edit button, a mute button , on / off button and No definitely no manual, You take me as you find me.
So today despite only watching half the movie I felt confident enough to write this poem. I reserve the right to write another poem once I have viewed the rest of the movie..... So watch this space
#46 Django Cango
I am not ready for Django
The humour in Slavery?
What we went through, so bravely
I am not ready to laugh
This wound still cuts deep
I can’t find the funny side
To Men and Women
Made to beg on their knees
I am not able to distant myself
From what happened
Two, or three generations ago
Not far enough for me
For me not to know
How wicked this is
I am not ready to smile
To be polite

Fire Assault
This is the poem I posted today on fb, it’s about a fire that was deliberately started whilst I was staying at my friends flat in Thorthon Heath. My daughter was 2 1/2 and we went over to spend a week, just to get away from the whole inner city living thing. ok to get away from the Ghetto. At the time I was a struggling single parent living in Stockwell.
I remember it being a nice summer with lots of time spent in the communal garden. it was a big house consisting of six two bedroom flats. Tenement flats?
There was a rambling Italian family upstairs, a yuppy couple with a Macaw, I remember saying to them all casually like “When you get a chance could they bring their bird down”. They kept insisting I came up with my daughter anyhow eventually one day I made it up and there it was this beautiful colourful huge bird. I was like now I understand, my daughter saw it as well it was truy magnificent. On the other side was an elderly retires woman very nice if I remember rightly someone reliable whom you could borrow a cup of sugar from. That was it , well that's all I remember, my friend lived in the apartment on the ground floor to the right of the house.
We went to bed one night then about 2 in the morning she woke me and my daughter saying she could smell smoke and there was a orange glowing light at the back door. I quickly woke my daughter threw a blanket over her and went to the front of the house, where the other neighbours in the block had congregated. The fire brigade arrived promptly and put it out. A few days later they came over with the police, they questioned us at length, only after they had left then we spoke with the Italian Woman upstairs, we were under the impression that everyone was interrogated in this way. No just us, apparently they had a been a spate of them Arson Attacks on Black households. Really 1989 really 6 miles from Brixton and the riots and all them Black Folks. So what do you know two women and a child fare game for Racist Arsonist
#44 They Burnt My Baby Daughter’s Clothes
I tried to leave the plantation
They burnt my daughters clothes
Started a fire they made me return to the fold
I tried to leave the plantation
They burnt my daughters baby grow
Started a fire the smell got right up our nose
I tried to leave the plantation
They broke into the garden at night
We woke to the glow of a burning light
I tried to leave the plantation
They collected all the clothes
Put it on fire for what reason we don’t know
I tried to leave the plantation
The police asked us questions
Like if we should know
I tried to leave the plantation
They burnt my baby daughter's clothes
A few miles away from the fold
I tried to leave the plantation
It seems like a bizarre dream I know
This is true I only hope it never happens to you
