A Rose is Still a Rose?

Posted fb 02/02/13

#1 The Rose

The Rose
There was a rose, that was left to grow by itself.
The rose said it was alright.
But it was clear to see, that this was not so.
As there was a thorn on it's side.

Dedication for My Mother

#2 Angels Amongst Us

They Say Angels walk amongst us
This we can never be sure
When we meet them
Something about their Swagger
Something about their flow
As Quickly as they arrive
Too soon they leave
Causing you heartache
and a certain kind of grief
One thing is certain
Of this you can be sure
When an Angel leaves
They leave you wanting more

In memory of my Mother
Mrs Constance Morris
(Aunty Connie)

#105 Put Things Straight
I am not saying you owe me
But you need to put things straight
I was your girlfriend
You treated me like your mate
You seem to think it doesn't matter
Trust me I can see the pattern
You need to make amends before it is too late
I am saying this not as an ex .
I am telling you as a friend
You need to beg forgiveness
Pray for recompense
You came into my life
Rode rough shot
Now you are the one
Burning in flames
Who knew hell was so hot !

Blackberry Abandoned

I left my HTC on a bus on Sunday at 08:00 by 12:00 someone finally decided to pick up and answer my frantic texts and many calls to the number. I collected my phone from to young women five miles away from the bus I had left the phone on. Now everyone says I was lucky.

Lets discuss this luck .

Firstly I left phone on bus

Then phone was found by someone . That was lucky

Person decided to take it home?

Ok no more luck

Not sure why they didn't answer my first call, no doubt deciding what to do. Well with a password and not the top of the range in HTC 's I guess their best bet was just to wait for me to phone for the 20th time answer then get me to take this burden off their hands.

Ok so testing all this luck everyone proclaimed I had I left my Blackberry curve on the train. To date no one has answered the phone. Whoever found it took the chip out immediately. It is on a Virgin Network good luck getting rid of that.

The worst thing all my half written poems were on there. I am hoping I will get some inspiration and they will come back to me. The poems not the phone. face it that's long gone....

#104 Blackberry Abandoned

I’ve lost my chai
I’ve lost my chi
I have lost my buddy
I am talking about my phone
No? No ordinary phone
Whenever I had a thought
It was there
Buttons at the ready
For me to commit my ideas
My dreams
I search high
I search low
Oh where did my friend go?
To think some other
Tips are on the buttons
Making a mockery
Of our special connection
I dial her
But I had to have her switched off
For her own protection
I hope she will understand
Find it within her Blackberry heart
To forgive me
For being so careless with one
So dear to me

Bad Trip

I was travelling on a bus on my way from work.  I saw a young man behaving so out of control so violent coupled with paranoia isn’t good.  It was scary.  Fortunately I big strong burly man physical intervened and managed to regain control on an otherwise out of control situation.

#103 Tripping
I don't know what I have taken
This is real I ain't faking
I have tripped to another zone
Another hemisphere
Which isn't here
Forgive me
for what I have
Or may have done
I don't know where I am
I have no idea where I am
Am I making a connection
I am out of the loop
Spaced out
In limbo

Working Late at Night

Late night working.  There is whole other world of people who work during the night.  I once done mini cabbing and had to work at night.  I just found it thrilling.

My father worked late at night.  I didn't know this until he retired and received a pension from London Underground.  How cool is that?

#102 Late Night Shifts

My father would sneak out at night
We assumed he had another Woman
Turns out he was providing for his family
The only way he could
He worked late at night on the grave yard shift
On the underground erecting posters how upstanding
How mis-understood
We thought he was doing bad
When he was doing good

Suicide over Bedroom Tax

Something needs to be done about the Benefit Reforms.  No good will come of it.  Especially the Housing Benefit new ruling whereby if you have a room you are not using you have to pay the rent on it and it is no longer covered by Housing Benefit.  There was a woman who recently threw herself in front of a truck as she could not afford the extra £20 she would now be expected to pay towards her rent.

Imagine taking your life over £20.00 it sounds like not a lot but if you are already finding it difficult to cope on benefits this is the final straw.

There was also recently reported a fire in Tooting where an elderly couple burned to death immediately I thougt this was due to the new Benefit Reform

#101 Suicide Pact
They want our home
We have nothing to live for any more
You take this away
You may as well take our lives
I will lay here
Me and the wife
They will find cinders
That will serve them right
