I don’t understand my blog
I don’t understand who tunes in
America Ukraine, Greece and the Uk
are tuning in to what I write
what I have to say
what is the attraction?
I know why I do it
but do they really understand
what I am trying to do
when they tune in and pursue
I thought I knew who would follow my blog
follow my log of poetry
as if I know human nature
obviously not necessarily
got no idea
of what the attraction is
of a Black Woman in London
trying to survive this racist state
they seem to understand
as if they were me ‘Besse Mate’
I am happy for the pageviews
as this increases page rates
