The contents of my Bag

#277 My Vanity Bag

I carry a vanity bag

whenever I leave home

those things you just can’t do without

as time goes on

I have noticed

the contents they have changed

it is less about beauty

more about pain

less about looking good

more about trying to maintain

an appearance

which is showing wear and tear

oh how my vanity bag has changed

no more pretty colours

just a variety of pills

Lots of Homework to do

Homework can be so difficult at times

if I understood what was going on

in the classroom

at the time

maybe there would be no homework

for me to take home

to share with my parents

encroaching on my time

so valuable

catching up with programs and shows

on my flickering box

which incidentally

I do not bring to school

and insist that you watch
